Applications   are invited from suitably qualified and motivated   candidates to fill the following vacant positions at Rushere Community Hospital, a Christian faith-based, not-for-profit   hospital located in Kiruhura District, Western Uganda.

Job Title                         :    1.    Enrolled Midwife (01 position) 


reports to principal nursing officer.


Qualifications

  • Certificate in Enrolled Midwifery from a recognized institution.

  • Registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC).

  • Valid practicing license.

  • At least two (2) years of experience working with a reputable health facility is an added advantage

  • Good interpersonal and communication   skills.

  • Ability to work in a team and under minimal supervision.


  • Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality antenatal, delivery, postnatal and newborn care services.

  • Monitor mothers and babies during labour and after delivery.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and reports.

  • Participate in health education and community outreach activities. v. Adhere to hospital policies and professional standards.


  • 2.Enrolled Nurse (01 position) reports to: principal nusring officer


    Qualifications

  • Certificate in Enrolled Nursing from a recognized institution.

  • Registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC).

  • Valid practicing license.

  • At least two (2) years of experience working with a reputable health facility is an added advantage

  • Good communication   and patient care skills.

  • Ability to work in a busy healthcare environment.

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality nursing care to patients.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

  • Monitor and document patient progress.

  • Participate in infection prevention and control activities.

  • Promote patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.


  • 3.Assistant Dental officer(01 position)


    reports to: Medical superintedent


    Qualifications

  • Diploma in Dental Surgery or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Registered with the relevant professional council and in possession of a valid practicing license.

  • At least two (2) years of working experience in a reputable health facility is an added advantage.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Commitment to professional ethics and patient-centred care.

    Key Responsibilities                Provide preventive, curative, and rehabilitative dental services to patients.


    Conduct dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment procedures.


    Perform tooth extractions, scaling, fillings, and other approved dental procedures. Educate patients on oral health and disease prevention.


    Maintain accurate patient records and treatment reports.


    Ensure proper infection prevention and control measures in the dental unit. Participate in community oral health outreach activities.


    Manage and maintain dental equipment and supplies.


    Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.
